MBC suffered a defeat at 80:88 against Ludwigsburg

Weißenfels (dpa / sa) – The basketball players from Syntainics MBC lost their home game against the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg with 80:88 (35:40) on Saturday. While the Weißenfels team fell back into the midfield of the Bundesliga after their second defeat in a row, the guests consolidated their place in the play-off ranks with their first away win of the season. With Justin Simon (17), Jonah Radebaugh (13), Tremmel Darden, Jordan Hulls (12 each) and Rawle Alkins (10), five players scored double-digit points in the Ludwigsburg team. For the MBC, Jamel Morris (33) and Goran Huskic (15) scored best.

The home side overslept the starting phase. Against the wide awake Ludwigsburg the Central Germans were after five minutes 4:16 behind, but then started a race to catch up. After twelve minutes, the Weißenfelser led with 23:22 and kept the game open until 49:51 (26th). With a 10-0 run to 61:49 (30th), the Ludwigsburg team made the preliminary decision at the end of the third quarter and cleverly brought this lead over time in the last ten minutes, especially since the home side lost a total of 20 balls.
