Mario Serrano achieved another double in Las Torres de Cotillas

Mario Serrano, player of the Albacete Badminton Club, continues with his winning streak and once again won a title in a scoring event for the U19 national ranking.

Serrano moved to Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia), where he achieved a new double in the singles and doubles modalities. In the individual, where he started as the first seed, he reached the final with authority and faced the young Adrián Gálvez (Infante), who he won 2-0, solving some problems with authority in the second set.

In the doubles modality, Mario had to improvise a partner at the last minute due to the injury of his teammate Álvaro Castilla. He formed a couple with Íker Padilla (Cartagena) and, despite never having played together, they achieved victory.

These results produce good feelings for the Spanish Under-19 Championship that will begin next Friday and in which Mario Serrano will participate together with Oriol Arans and Loreto Marco.

For his part, the senior player Miguel Serrano played in the Valencian town of Enguera the modality of men’s doubles of an absolute. Together with his teammate Gary Clark (San Fernando Valencia), in order to finalize his preparation for the Senior World Championship in Huelva, his balance was two victories and one defeat.
