Dyan Dilato resigned from his position as Head of Operation Sporting Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) after making inappropriate remarks about the marshal who served in Asia Talent Cup (ATC 2021).
Dyan was suspected of giving a statement that was considered demeaning to the marshal who served at ACT on Sunday (14/11).
This then went viral and made the marshals who are residents of Lombok angry and disappointed.
For this incident, MGPA President Director Ricky Baheramsjah apologized to the people of Lombok, especially the marshals.
Ricky guarantees that the preparation for the race at Mandalika upholds professionalism.
The marshal is the officer in charge of the safety of the racer. They are placed at a number of points on the race track. Marshal is in charge of giving signal flags related to track conditions.
“We understand that insulting and whatever happens in the field is not a professional thing. Therefore, he has officially resigned from MGPA,” said Ricky in a press release, Tuesday (16/11).
“We hope that in the future, the relationship and cooperation between MGPA and the community will be better and will succeed in organizing international racing events at the pride of Indonesia, especially for the people of NTB,” he said.

On the other hand, regarding the postponement of the 2021 ATC schedule, MGPA also apologized. The ATC is planned to be held in conjunction with the 2021 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) at the Mandalika Circuit on November 19-21.
“We together with Dorna and assisted by the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) continue to coordinate with the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) to prepare for the race according to a predetermined schedule,” said Ricky.
“Regarding the preparation of the circuit, we can confirm that the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit has no problems and that the construction is in accordance with the rules and standards set,” he added.
