Leonardo DiCaprio and director Guillermo del Toro have a late-night business dinner in Brentwood… two years after Leo left the Alley of Nightmares.

DiCaprio, 47, began talks to star in Nightmare Alley in April 2019, but stepped down soon after, with del Toro, 57, ultimately choosing Bradley Cooper.

The actor and filmmaker have been spotted leaving a late business dinner at the Baltaire in Brentwood, which could indicate they may be working on a new project together.

The Brew: More than two years after Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to star in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film, Nightmare Alley, something may be brewing again.

DiCaprio was seen leaving the Brentwood restaurant wearing a black jacket and matching black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

He also had a gray mask on his face as he left the restaurant with black pants and sneakers for the exit.

There is no indication as to whether the actor and filmmaker met over a specific project or not on Monday night.

The director himself wore a black look with a black zip-up polo sweater and black pants.

del Toro is currently making an untitled documentary about another beloved filmmaker, Michael Mann, which could be the source of his meeting with Leo.

DiCaprio and Mann were originally scheduled to team up for a 1930s noir thriller set from a screenplay by John Logan (The Aviator) in 2007, but the project never came to fruition.

Guillermo’s Look: The director himself wore a black look with a black zip-up Polo sweater and black pants.

The director currently has a large number of projects in various stages of development, such as an adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Fantastic Voyage, Frankenstein and Slaughterhouse Five, to name a few.

He’s currently in post-production on his adaptation of Pinocchio, slated for release in 2022, and he’s producing and co-signing a Haunted Mansion film for director Justin Simien (Dear White People), Nightmare Alley, which hits theaters on December 17th.

Leo is very busy himself, with his upcoming film Don’t Look Up, a satire by director Adam McKay alongside Jennifer Lawrence, which hits Netflix on December 24.

He also has Killers of the Flower Moon in post-production, his sixth feature film starring director Martin Scorsese, which is set to hit theaters on October 14, 2022.

He will also team up with Scorsese on Hulu’s The Devil in the White City TV series, but it’s not yet clear when.

DiCaprio is also being tipped to star in The Black Hand and Roosevelt, a biopic about President Theodore Roosevelt.
