Judokas with 3 podiums in the National Tournament – El Sol de Hidalgo

With two golds and one silver, the Hidalgo delegation of judo returned from the Prof. Gabriel Goldschmied Rodríguez National Judo Tournament that is held at the Hermanos Galeana Sports Center, in Mexico City.

The people of Hidalgo who took the gold were Claudia Sofía and Víctor Gabriel Martínez Gómez; while the silver was courtesy of Daniel Alcántara Cordova.

Regarding these results, Verónica González Pastén, president of the Hidalgo Judo Association, said that they are undoubtedly good and motivating, noting that of three representatives, all three returned with a podium.

Of the next activity they will have, he said that the Paste Tournament that was scheduled for early December, was canceled so the athletes are waiting for what will be the dates for the state selection of the specialty.

Judokas from seven categories participated in this competition.

At an international level, this sport will attend the Pan American Youth Games in Cali with a judoka, Paulina Garnica, who is one of the 13 selected Aztecs who will attend the first edition of this competition.
