The Formula 1 published its provisional calendar for the 2022 World Cup on October 15. SON. In the first case there are Ímola, Barcelona, Singapore and Austin. Meanwhile, Miami has yet to receive the OK from the International Federation.

According to Marín, in case any of those circuits fell, Jerez would be the chosen one.

Similarly, during the 2021 season a total of 5 grand prizes were canceled due to the pandemic (Australia, Canada, China, Japan and Singapore). In return, races in Portugal, Turkey, Austria and Qatar were added.

According to Marín, in case of entering the calendar, the circuit would need an investment of between 3 and 5 million euros to adapt it to the demands of the World Cup. The vice president of the Board said that the money would come from public institutions, private investment and European funds.
