The series of first rounds or the big 32 of the 2021 Indonesia Masters took place at the Bali International Convention Center, Tuesday (16/11/2021) afternoon WITA.
Marcus/Kevin get the win straight game aka two straight games over Choi Sol-gyu/Kim Won-ho (South Korea) with a score of 21-19 and 21-17.
Looking at the final score of the second match, Choi Sol-gyu/Kim Won-ho did give a tight match for Marcus/Kevin.

In the first game, Marcus/Kevin who had won 14-10 were chased to 14-14.
Likewise, when they were 18-14 ahead, the South Korean pair could equalize to 18-18 before Marcus/Kevin finally advanced and won 21-19.

Meanwhile, in the second game after winning 11-9, Marcus/Kevin and Choi/Kim took turns gaining points up to 18-17.
However, the pace of the South Korean pair stopped at 17 and Marcus / Kevin won with a score of 21-17.
After the match, Marcus / Kevin also admitted that the opponent played well today.
The men’s doubles, dubbed the Minions, also highlighted the differences in the field and shuttlecocks which they judged to be heavier than during the practice session.

“The opponents played well and we just competed in this hall for the first time,” Marcus Fernaldi Gideon told the media.
“Despite the field test, it is a bit different from yesterday. However, today we played quite well.”
“Yesterday’s field test looks like shuttlecockits not this late. So, the way of playing may not be like yesterday,” said Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.
In the big 16, Marcus/Kevin will face Lucas Corvee/Ronan Labar from France who defeated Goh V Shem/Low Juan Shen (Malaysia).
