Latvia’s largest export organization, Goexanimo, has announced that it has disqualified the Tranquillum team for suspicion of negotiating the results of the match.

They have lost in certain games in return for payment. It has been suspected for two months now and, following the latest information, was found to be justified at the time of the investigation. It involves both international and local organizations, including the Office for Combating Economic Crime, so more specific details are not disclosed.

In Goexanimo’s view, other Latvian and Baltic event organizers must impose similar sanctions on the team. This is the first time such a scandal has occurred in the history of Latvia’s exports. There is also a risk of criminal liability for negotiating games.

Five players are disqualified – Krers “Brens” Bransons, Mairis “Mairel” Petrovs, Edgars “rabbit” Brecs, Arvis “CaptaiN” Kārkliņš, Roberts “frip” Poļakovs, as well as Gusts “M1kkets” Miezis and Sandis “kuL” Stikuts.
