Formula 1 mourns death of former engineer Michael Schumacher | Motorsport

Terzi grew up not far from the Ferrari factory and started working for the Italian race team as an aerodynamicist. She was part of the engineering team around designer legend Rory Byrne and was a major contributor to Michael Schumacher’s world titles in 2000 and 2001.

Terzi then moved to Williams, where she was put in charge of the aerodynamics department. For the 2004 season she developed the famous ‘shark nose’ for the Williams FW26, but when success was not forthcoming, Williams and Terzi decided not to continue together.
