CELLE. At the national individual championships for young people under 15 years of age, the judoka of SV Nienhagen won gold once, silver twice and bronze twice. Fabian Zeller won the title of national champion (youngest year), Miriam Lauterbach (-44 kg) and Mia Gallinat (52 kg) took silver in their weight class. Enno Baar bis (-34 kg), Carrig Schewe (+66 kg) won the bronze medal. Islam Ahmatov (-66 kg) is set as a member of the squad for the North German Championship by the Lower Saxony Judo Association.
Four of the medal winners will now be able to compete in the North German Championships. Unfortunately, Fabian Zeller and Miriam Lauterbach are not allowed to start there, as both are double starters from the U13 and are too young.
The boys started with Fabian Zeller (-37 kg) and Enno Baars (-34 kg). Fabian was able to confidently win all of his five encounters with an early end of the fight, and brings the title of national champion to Nienhagen. Enno Baars then started, for the first time at a state championship. He also won his opening match early with a point. Enno was able to enforce all further fights with strong throwing techniques, but the semifinals ended with a defeat and the bronze medal.
Mia Gallinat (-52 kg) and Miriam Lauterbach (-44 kg) started with the girls. Mia was able to win her three opening fights early. Only in the final Mia had to admit defeat to her opponent from Hanover. Miriam, who started as the youngest class, had a similar experience. Miriam was able to win the national vice title with two wins and one defeat.
With the heavy boys, Carrig Schewe won after a versatile preliminary round safely with a grab handle and was also able to victoriously finish the second encounter in the ground after his own throwing approach.
After a hard-fought semi-final, Carrig had to admit defeat and thus achieved 3rd place. Jan Ole Kühn, Ben Thore Bartels and Vinzenz Radke could not fight their way to the top positions, but showed quite good performances. Thus, all four judoka of the SVN team won the qualification for the North German Championship in Lutten.
