Recognition and Renewal at Einbeck Judo Club General Meeting

Einbeck (red). The general meeting of the Einbeck Judo Club recently took place with elections to the board. The chairman, Hans Radke, welcomed the large number of members and a special guest, Gerhard Haupt, from the Northeim-Einbeck district sports association.

After the official start of the meeting, Gerhard Haupt took the floor. In his speech he discussed the importance and impact of volunteering in our society. He particularly emphasized the commitment of people who have been active in voluntary work for many years.

The previous 2nd chairwoman and treasurer of the Einbecker JC, Bärbel Lange, was surprised when Gerhard Haupt referred to her 22 years of voluntary work as lady manager, deputy chairwoman and treasurer in his laudatory speech. The Northeim-Einbeck district sports association and the state sports association recognize demonstrable, meritorious voluntary work for sport with a special award. He presented Bärbel Lange with the “Silver Badge of Honor” from the Lower Saxony State Sports Association.

Bärbel Lange had not expected such an honor at all. Everyone present congratulated her on this award.

The reports from the board members followed. The chairman highlighted the youth sector and the training and further education of coaches as well as their recruitment of young talent. The innovative training work and numerous activities, especially in the children and youth sector, have led to positive membership development in the judo club.

The second chairwoman and treasurer B. Lange reported on the 2023 financial statements and presented the budget for the coming year, which the meeting approved.

This was followed by elections to the board. The first chairman, judo warden Charline Specht, leisure sports warden Sascha Voges and material warden Robin Henne were confirmed in their positions. Newly elected to the board were Renè Worien as 2nd chairman, treasurer Christian Hesse, Ju-Jutsu warden Rico Haas, girls and women’s warden Leonor Rodrigues Räker and youth warden Malte Dahlmann.

The honorary council consists of Andre Rischmann, Bärbel Lange and Johanna Giering.

At the end of the meeting, honors were given for many years of loyalty to Einbecker JC.

Leonor Rodrigues Räker and Mads Leopold Zacharias were honored for 10 years of membership.

Further honors went to Sven Schlicke for 15 years, to Robin Henne, Sascha Voges and Jasper Oestreich for 20 years, to Karsten Rohlf for 25 years, to Manuel Franz for 35 years and to Bärbel Lange and Hartmut Sobotta for 45 years.
