First public appearance – Eriksen reappeared – football

For a long time it was quiet about Christian Eriksen (29).

Now the Danish international, who suffered a cardiac arrest on June 11th in the European Championship match against Finland (0-1) in Copenhagen, has reappeared.

Eriksen asks in a video for donations for children at risk and in need in Denmark: In the post that was posted on the Instagram account of the Danish national team, he and national goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel read the story of the girl Anna, who would like to ride and for must save her dream.

It is Eriksen’s first public appearance since visiting his club Inter Milan on August 4th. The professional is no longer allowed to play for the Italian champion because a defibrillator has been used.

In other videos, Danish national players tell moving stories about the fate of children. The background to the campaign: On Sunday there will be a fundraising gala in Denmark under the motto “All of our children”, which will be broadcast by TV2. Partners are the Danish Red Cross and the “Fodboldfonden”.

The “Fodfoldfonden” is a non-profit association that was founded in 2017 by Stine Schmeichel, wife of Kasper Schmeichel, and Christian Eriksen’s partner Christine Kvist-Jensen. The aim of the fund is to support disadvantaged children and their families.
