Akatsuki’s official website and Too Kyo Games‘ New Tribe Nine project revealed on Friday that Kensho Ono joined the cast as Eiji Todoroki of the Setagaya Tribe. The tribe is made up of wealthy millionaires, as members have to pay huge sums of money to join.
Previously announced cast members include:
Funimation co-produced the anime. Yū Aoki run the anime at FILMS LIDEN. Michiko Yokote supervises the scripts of the series, and Yosuke Yabumoto s’adapte Rui Komatsuzaki (Danganronpa franchise) and Simadoriruoriginal character designs for animation. Masafumi Takada (Danganronpa franchise) compose the music, and Lantis produces music. Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa franchise) is credited with the original concept of the story, and Akatsuki’s Shūhei Yamaguchi is the chief producer.
Akatsuki et Too Kyo Games describe the project that takes place in “20XX in the land of Neo Too Kyo”, where young people form tribes after the collapse of society:
This title takes place in a fictional location similar to Tokyo’s 23 wards, with outlaw gangs from each neighborhood battling for prestige through extreme baseball.
The anime will begin airing and airing next January.
The project also includes a Webtoon and a 3D action role-playing game for smartphones.
Akatsuki et Too Kyo Games announced the project in February 2020 with several members of the project team from Danganronpa franchise.
