Bitcoin (BTC) resumed its rise over the weekend, while ethereum (ETH) broke past its previous all-time high.
After surpassing the $ 4,000 level at the end of October, ETH has followed an upward trajectory. ETH traded around $ 4,300 last Monday, but hit over $ 4,600 on Tuesday and Wednesday before falling again.
Today, however, the cryptocurrency is trading above the $ 4,700 level after peaking at $ 4,768. ETH has now grown in total by around 59% since the start of October.
Meanwhile, bitcoin rallied over the weekend and is now trading at just over $ 66,000, after a week it hovered between $ 62,000 and $ 64,000. Cryptocurrency is now approaching its three-week highs, having hit a new all-time high in mid-October, according to Simon Peters, cryptocurrency market analyst.
