International judo and taekwondo technical delegates endorsed the scenarios for the XIX Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games. The purpose of the visit of these delegates, who are in the department of Cesar, is to determine the appropriate technical and logistical infrastructure conditions for development of the competencies.
The Combat Coliseum of the Óscar Muñoz Central Sports Unit, where judo and taekwondo competitions will take place, is 85% complete in infrastructure. These areas comply with all the specifications for the development of the Bolivarian Games. This was indicated by Cito René Forero, taekwondo technical delegate and technical director of the Colombian National Teams in all modalities of this sport.
“I am pleased to see this stage that already has the competition and warm-up areas, the VIP area and the press area ready. They have a stage that meets all international standards for world-class events ”, he pointed.
Meanwhile, Kimberlie Rivera Tello, judo technical delegate from Peru, said: “We are sure that both athletes and spectators will feel very comfortable in this scenario that meets all the specifications.”
The Combat Coliseum, which has special accesses for the assistance of the public with diverse capacities, covers a construction area of 2,400 square meters in which 250 people have worked, including qualified labor, in addition to 25 professionals from different areas of engineering and architecture, who have built a modern stage that will house a capacity of 1,400 spectators.
It has a large dressing room area, as well as sanitary rooms for the public, athletes, judges and journalists that can be located in the newsroom that has more than 20 positions, as well as transmission booths for 15 journalists from radio, television and streaming platforms .
