Net success for Svethia Recanati who finds their third blitz of the season at Palasavelli in Porto San Giorgio and does it quite widely against a Virtus B-Chem who has paid excessively for the absence of Francesco Amoroso. The final score of 38-76 says it all about a match that was never in the balance that Recanati made his own thanks to the usual grim defense and a greater fluidity of attack compared to the latest releases. The 12-16 of the first quarter is the only substantial balance of an evening that Princes and companions decide to make their own already from the second ten minutes of play: Ottaviani is in a state of grace and the Peric-Sabbatini axis works wonderfully, Porto San Giorgio, for his part, pays for the bad evening from the long distance and clings to the Printers-Venditti couple to limit a deficit that is still largely recoverable at the interval (26-31).
The long break, however, turns off the light in the Sangiorgese house and with a terrifying break of 23-4 Svethia lays solid foundations for the final success: the formation of coach Padovano dominates far and wide and at the penultimate siren the scoreboard scores an eloquent 30- 54. The last ten turns of the hands are pure academy, Svethia also makes Filippo Borsella debut who signs his first points of a match that slips away without further twists. It ends 38-76 for Recanati who at the halfway point closes at ten in the standings, consolidating an extraordinary third place to say the least.
In the next weekend the championship will be on stand-by but space for the third and final day of the Centenary Cup. Saturday at 18.00 at the Fornaci di Castelfidardo gymnasium play-off for those who will access the final stages between Svethia and Attila Porto Recanati.
