Chateaulin. The judo club created its judo school

The judo club is starting from scratch with a new team and new projects. Since September, Nicolas Meilard, judo teacher, has taken over the adult section of Crozon and that of Châteaulin for children. He intends to boost this last section: With my colleague Cécile Clermont, we are two new teachers at the club. We plan to create a judo school in Châteaulin to introduce 5-10 year olds to this sport. It is an activity that develops motor skills and posture. Judo is rooted in values, respect, with rituals, such as greeting each other at the start of the course.

A graduate of a Staps license (sciences and techniques of physical and sports activities), Nicolas Meilard, 39, has been teaching judo for thirteen years: I work at the Aulne Le Faou and Pont-de-Buis dojo. With my colleague Cécile Clermont, in training as a PB JEPS sports educator, we work alternately in Châteaulin, Crozon, Le Faou and Pont-de-Buis.

For the little ones, it is not too late to register, two trial lessons being offered. Classes take place at the Hervé-Mao stadium, on Tuesday evening, from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.
