Next Gen Finals

The Murcian defeated the American Sebastian Korda 4-3, 4-2 and 4-2 in the final to seal a dream week

The Spanish Carlos Alcaraz (32nd in the world) won the Next Gen Masters, which brings together the best promises of the circuit, by beating the American Sebastian Korda (39th) in the final, 4-3 (7/5), 4-2 and 4-2, this Saturday in Milan.

With his 32nd victory of the season, a figure that no player with 18 years had reached since Rafa Nadal achieved it at the same age in 2004 (30), Alcaraz sealed a dream week in Milan, with five wins that certify his label of great hope of world tennis. Alcaraz, three years younger than Korda, took an hour and 22 minutes to dispatch his rival.

The Next Gen Masters was played in Milan with somewhat different rules than those that govern the ATP circuit: the matches are played in three sets won with four games, with a tiebreaker at 3-3, and a decisive point at 40-40.
