Canelo Alvarez, Tom Brady, and the best athlete cameos on ‘The Simpsons’

The story of ‘The Simpsons’ seems to have no end. After more than 30 years on the air, since the release of his first episode in December 1989, the series has added dozens of special guests. Among them, several of the best athletes.

Soccer players, tennis players, boxers, baseball players, and field hockey players have made special appearances with Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Marge as part of the yellow family.

Then, tennis players Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Venus, and Serena Williams appeared in ‘Tennis the Menace’ an episode of season 12.

Warren Sapp, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders; Yao Ming, former Chinese basketball player for the Houston Rockets; and Michelle Kwan, an ice skater, joined the cast sometime later.

Soccer superstars such as Pel, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo Nazario were welcomed in Springfield by The Simpsons. But also NBA and NFL players, as well as world boxing champions.

Tom Brady appeared in the episode “Homer and Ned’s Desperate Play,” a season 16 episode.

During one of Bart’s dreams of having a brother, Peyton and Eli Manning appeared, throwing footballs through a tire.

Other seasons of the yellow family also featured legends such as Joe Montana, Magic Johnson, Tom Brady, Dan Marino, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, and Troy Aikman.

Oscar de la hoya, LeBron James, and Canelo Alvarez had their Springfield adventure in recent times.
