Last Saturday the Gipuzkoa Judo Championships for teams in the juvenile and infant categories were held at the Jostaldi fronton in Hondarribia, with very good results for the Judo Klub Lizardi athletes who presented teams in the male and female category in competition. The juvenile and child men’s teams achieved a creditable third place, while the women’s team remained at the gates of the podium, losing the semifinal. A good result for these young competitors who had to face judokas from all over the province.
The juvenile judokas who competed in Hondarribia were: Aaron Alberdi, Aritz Gorrotxategi, Markel Gesalaga, Martxel Eizaguirre, Imanol Izeta, Iker Alarma, Ekai Lazkano, Julen Gonzalez de Txabarri, and Jakes Lertxundi and, in the children’s category: Izarbe Fernández, Katixa Larrayoz , Irati Aramendi, Unax Arzallus, Platon Oluveb, José Gómez, Jon Eizaguirre, Beñat Girón and Iñigo Osa, all of them coached by Diana López and Álvaro Mendibe.
