Great performance in a great ring battle.
The Berlin Enrico Kölling won after ten rounds with a point victory (96: 94.95: 95.96: 94) against the Bielefeld defending champion Leon Harth the European championship of the WBO in the cruiserweight division.
“Now we celebrate. I want a cold beer, damn it! ”Cheers the new champion.
“I was bought as a loser, but I want to be a stumbling block,” said Enrico Kölling (31) from Berlin to BILD before the fight.
Köllling, who is looked after by his father Detlef, has good cover in the first rounds and plays his whole routine against the German-Armenian Harth (33), lets the opponent come and counters with an uppercut to the head.
Harth active, hits with impetuous actions. But a lot of blows land on Kölling’s good cover.
In the 4th round some nice combinations by the Berliner. The leading hand often rushes to the finish line as well. Cut above Harth’s right eye.
Overall, a very good fight and Kölling visibly has fun in the ring against the number four in the German rankings. After six laps he is ahead.
In the 7th lap, Harth makes steam, increases the pace, but Kölling is still dangerous, lands the clearer hits. Very good round from the defending champion from Bielefeld. Its getting close. An excellent boxing match with a deserved winner.
