Behobia-San Sebastián: This race is for everyone

This couple from Barcelona has come to enjoy. “For me (Roger) it was the first time it has been incredible, since the tour, the people …”. However, Anna is more veteran. “I have three editions and this is a great plan.”

Nacho, Antonio, Juanjo and Jose (Madrid) and Emilio (Galicia) meet «every Saturday in a park. We are already seventy in the group and today we are here celebrating the triumph of each one. Because here we all win.

Jule Arkotxa is only 17 years old and yesterday he ran under an hour and a half. “I hadn’t trained much and didn’t know how I was going to respond. But I am very happy with the result because without this atmosphere I don’t know if I would have reached the finish line.

They belong to the Adidas runners and come from different parts of the peninsula including Portugal. “La Behobia is capable of crossing borders and gets a lot of people we can get together to do what we like the most.”

Koldo, Mikel, Miguelito and Ugutz have had a great time. «The objective was to improve and we have achieved it. It has also been a spectacular day to run if we compare it with other years. So it’s time to celebrate ».

Bixen has returned to running with her son. “Markel has a rare disease and we want to give him visibility. Hence, we sign up for all races. And we cannot miss this one because it is the most special ».

«I am 62 years old and since 1987 I have run as a tutankhamun, in a tuxedo, as a friar, as a cook … and this year as a sanitary. I think they deserve it. In fact, during the test some have asked me to do a test; they were perfectly well ».

Ainhoa, Ana and Lurdes have played hares at different times. «It is a joy and a privilege. We really wanted to run it again, ”they stressed. For his part, Nere, from Arrasate, said that “I am very happy.”

Mary and Ana are two friends of Soria who run out of passion. “It is impressive how much people turn to this event. We came to have a good time because this race is tough and the important thing in the end is to enjoy ourselves ».

“It’s worth the trip because of how well everything is organized,” narrated the two José Luis and Vicente. «17 people come from Albacete and this has been our second year. The atmosphere is unique; I’ve never seen anything like it.

It was the first time the three of them had run together. Pilar, mother of Aitor and Yuraima, admitted being “excited” in her fourth participation. While his two sons said that “at the premiere the goal was to finish it and enjoy the atmosphere.”

Pablo and Willy are Asturian, from Oviedo, but Fer, from Barakaldo. What unites them? «We all spend the summer in Asturias and that is what has brought us here. And to be all the same, I have brought the shirts », Willy said.

These six CAD Tafalla riders have not been separated throughout the course. «We have done an hour and 48 minutes. For some it was their first time and the truth is that we have had a magnificent experience ».

“I had very good feelings throughout the race,” Elías explained excitedly. «I have gone down from 1 hour and 25 minutes, at my own pace. Although the best thing has been to cross the finish line with my daughter. It’s an incredible feeling.
