Badminton. David Sablé and Mélissa Laniel, the victory in love at the Tournoi de Brocéliande – Badminton

The first day of the eighth edition of the Brocéliande tournament gave rise to very good matches where the favorites were present. In men’s singles series 1, in the last minute absence of Arthur Sibéril, big favorite, Nicolas Latimier managed to climb to the final to gain the upper hand over title-holder Gurvan Renault after a strategic match.

Despite previous physically exhausting laps won at the end of three sets, Latimier made the exchanges last, Renault suffering from cramps, to win in two sets.

The mixed series 1 saw the victory of a couple in the city with David Sablé associated with Mélissa Laniel. they took the upper hand over the pair formed by Maël Ardouin-Le Bras and Malaury Termet. “It’s a great romantic victory. It had been a very long time since we had played together. It was hard to warm up. Then, from the quarter-finals, we found our benchmarks to win ”.

Among the women, the young Célia Frassin, from the Rostrenen club, impressed in the first series against Anne-Laure Guehenneuc, who could not do much despite her experience. As expected, the Saint-Jacques club managed to place their players in the finals, with notably victories for Reichert in the men’s singles series 2 and Elouan Tertre associated with the Lanestérienne Soa Theodose in the mixed series 2.

This Sunday, the doubles come into play and we should find some winners of the day in the finals, in particular David Sablé associated with Nils Tostivint in series 1.
