Athletics: four athletes from CEF N ° 7 selected for the provincial team

The year of local athletics comes with “the right foot.”

The return to activities after the breaks due to the pandemic set all disciplines in motion. It was then that CEF Athletics began to add competitions with the aim of gaining experience from each to the national level competitions.

The first games in Araucanía set a first goal for local athletes who sought a place in the provincial team.

Felipe Cremade and Thiago Galian participated in the games that took place at the end of October and beginning of November in the sports city of the Neuquén capital.

On that occasion, the bronze medal achieved by Cremade in triple jump with his 12.57 meters mark stood out.

Last weekend with the participation of 14 boys from CEF No. 7 in the Club Cup organized by the Neuquén Athletic Federation, the Angosturenses won multiple medals. To these joys, was added the news that confirmed that six athletes from the Angostura delegation were in the preselection to form the athletics team that would represent the province in the EPADE games to be held in the city of Santa Rosa, La Pampa at as of December 05.

This Wednesday, it was confirmed that four local athletes will be part of the Neuquén team:

-Thiago Galian en 2000 mts, 800 mts y posta

-Tomas Reyes in 110 meters with hurdles, long jump and post

-Axel Carmoney on javelin and hammer throw

-Benjamin Bruno was selected but a hand injury prevents him from traveling.

CEF representatives must appear on December 4 in Neuquén to join the Neuquén delegation made up of almost two hundred athletes. The boys will travel accompanied by their coach Camila Rivas who is part of the provincial coaching staff.

The EPADE games (Ente Patagónico de Deporte) are made up of the Patagonian provinces plus the province of La Pampa (venue of the 2021 edition) and bring together the following activities: football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, cycling, athletics, judo, all in the feminine and masculine branches.

On this occasion, the EPADE will be developed jointly with the PARAEPADE (athletes with disabilities) who will compete in wheelchair basketball, boccia, athletics and swimming.
