62 (-8) Thursday, 71 (+1) Friday, Jeff Winther (photo) again slammed a sublime 62 this Saturday at the Mallorca Golf Open. On alternating current, the Dane is -15 two points ahead of the Spaniard Jorge Campillo and three over the duo Soderberg-Quiros. Pavon, Dubuisson, Roussel and Gonnet are in the top 15 at -6.
Second this morning at three lengths of the South African Bryce Easton (stopped at -11 to 17 Friday evening by nightfall), Jeff Winther carried out a Moving Day of fire on the Golf Santa Ponsa. The Dane thus signed a sublime 62 (-8) without the slightest error with in particular three birdies from 16 to 18. This feat allows him to count at -15 (195) two points ahead of the Spaniard. Jorge Campillo, also very solid with his 64 (-6) marred by a bogey on the 1.
There will therefore necessarily be sport and a lot of pressure for Winther this Sunday, he who, at 33, is still chasing a first success on the European Tour. Eight golfers are in effect in just five strokes. Among the contenders, we find in particular the very experienced Alvaro Quiros, third at -12 and seven times victorious on the Tour (the last time in Sicily in 2017).

Also to watch the Swedish Sebastian Soderberg, third in the company of Quiros, second in theAndalucia Masters last week and above all winner of theEuropean Masters in September 2019. These two (we can also add Campillo) know the taste of victory at the highest level. An asset that could make the difference at the end of the day this Sunday.
Co-leader after nine holes thanks to an eagle and two birdies, Jean-Baptiste Gonnet unfortunately cracked on the return, taking two bogeys and a double. At -6 total, the golfer from Valbonne (06) is in fourteenth position, nine strokes from Winther. It is also the displayed deviation for Robin roussel (69 today) and the duo Matthieu pavon–Victor Dubuisson, both 67.
