Welcome to the Alliance de Montreal basketball team

The Canadian Elite Basketball League (LECB) announced the formation of the Montreal Alliance which has become its ninth franchise. The Alliance will begin its season as early as May 2022 and end it before the start of the NBA season.

The team’s nickname, Alliance, was chosen to reflect the mosaic of Montreal’s municipalities and communities that together form an alliance. The mayoress of Montreal, Valérie Plante, is in the company of Annie Larouche, vice-president and director of operations of the Alliance.

The members of the Verdun borough team, Julie Mahoney, Carl Néron, Patricia Léveillé and Marlène Gagnon played an important role in acquiring the Alliance in Verdun.

Marie-France Boyer, CEO of the Caisse Desjardins de L’Île-des-Sœurs – Verdun, is in the company of Daniel Grimard, CEO of Basketball Quebec and the former player, Maurane Corbin, communications manager at the Alliance.

Dawson College Women’s Basketball Coach Trevis Williams is joined by Dawson College Men’s Coach Wayne Yearwood and Jason Thom of the LECB.

Mike Morreale, Commissioner and CEO of the LECB, is with the mayor of the Verdun borough, Jean-François Parenteau, who is pleased to welcome the Alliance to the Verdun Auditorium.
