After twelve tight rounds, boxing professional Dominic Bösel takes back the IBO World Light Heavyweight Championship from Robin Krasniqi. The loser feels cheated out of victory – and speaks of legal action.
NAfter his dethronement as world champion, Robin Krasniqi built himself up in the depths of the Getec-Arena in Magdeburg in front of his cabin and made a great all-round blow. “It’s just very sad for German boxing. You could see that I could only win by knocking out. The whole world saw that I won. I feel ripped off, ”Krasniqi said shortly before 2am on Sunday morning.
And then he chose clear words in the direction of his promoter Ulf Steinforth: “In eleven years I have always thanked Ulf. But now I would like to clarify what kind of business it is. You can do that with a lawyer. I want justice. “
For twelve rounds, Krasniqi and the new world champion Dominic Bösel had a gripping ring battle. In the end, only one of the three judges saw Krasniqi ahead, which he did not understand. “That wasn’t a good advertisement for German boxing. As a title holder, a draw would be the least. Otherwise, I have no idea about boxing, ”said the 34-year-old. Boxing idol and ARD expert Henry Maske also said he saw more of a draw.

In front of 3500 spectators, Krasniqi was definitely the more active boxer in the early stages. But in many cases his blows only hit the cover of Bösel, whose tactics were designed for counterattacks. The clearer hits landed Bösel, who set the tone from the middle of the fight. “I just stayed calm and noticed that I was getting better hits bit by bit,” said the 31-year-old.
