Indonesian National Team U-23 managed to beat Nepal with a score of 2-0 in a test match in Tajikistan, Friday (22/10).
The Indonesian U-23 national team tried hard to dismantle Nepal’s defense since the beginning of the match. Driven by Beckham’s son, the U-23 national team continues to press Nepal.
A number of opportunities were obtained by the U-23 National Team in the first half but none of them led to goals.
After a draw in the first half, the U-23 national team made nine substitutions at the beginning of the second half.
These nine substitutions followed three changes that had been made previously during the first half of 32 minutes.
Hanis Saghara, Pratama Arhan, Asnawi Mangkualam, Witan Sulaeman, and Bagus Kahfi were among the names revealed in the second half.
In the 53rd minute, Witan posed a threat but Witan’s shot could still be parried by the opposing goalkeeper.
Two minutes later, the U-23 national team was finally able to vibrate the Nepalese goal. Hanis Saghara successfully listed his name on the scoreboard.
After winning 1-0, the U-23 national team has not lowered the tempo of the game. They kept trying to press for a second goal.
Good efforts Kahfi and friends to dismantle Nepal’s defense continued until the match entered the final minutes.
The U-23 national team’s efforts finally paid off in injury time. Witan Sulaeman completed the lead for the U-23 national team to become 2-0 through his goal in the third minute of injury time.
The U-23 national team ended the match with a 2-0 victory over Nepal.
The U-23 national team will face Australia in the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification two-leg match on 26 October and 29 October. Indonesia and Australia are the two remaining teams in Group G after China and Brunei Darussalam withdrew.
