Two years of BSC Hünstetten STORM eV: Sebastian Willsch looks back on the last two years

In a letter to the members, the first chairman Sebastian Willsch reflected on the last two years, which were also the first as an independent association:

“We founded our new club two years ago. Around the same time, we inaugurated our own baseball and softball facility and named it “Dickman Field”. Even if the STORM family can look back on 18 eventful years, a new era has dawned with the independence as an independent club and its own sports facility.

In the last two years we have built new things in every nook and cranny: from fences, dugouts and batting cage to member management and the club account to coping with the corona pandemic, which hit us unexpectedly. At a time when most clubs have lost members, we have gained many new members, supporters and sponsors. Almost all of our partners remained loyal to us during this difficult time. The most important thing: none of us could have imagined two years ago what was coming and how we would deal with it. Now we are as well prepared as we can under these circumstances, to finally start the club life that we imagined at the inauguration of Dickman Field in winter and especially next year. “
