The European meeting of many sports that is taking place in Ferrara these days, the Euro Trigames, saw the supremacy of Italy in Judo, but above all of the two athletes of the Team Ability section of La Marmora Gymnastics who won two golds. First to compete was Francesco Verrengia in Judo who in the first day obtained three victories for ippon immediately commanding the ranking. Not least was Martina Tomba who among the competitors under 57 kg. Which has also reached the top of the standings with three victories in an important day for her, being that of her birthday. On the second day of competition, Francesco was once again the protagonist, winning all six fights for ippon, thus giving Italy, his family as well as his club a very important gold medal. In fact, his victory allowed Italy to take the victory in the Team Event team after a play-off with Poland.
The enthusiasm that everyone poured on Francesco then moved to the women’s sector in which Martina repeated the result of the first day and with her determination and her technique she won the coveted gold medal.
