Latvian women’s basketball club “TTT Rīga” on Wednesday in the second game of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Euroleague main tournament with 41:72 conceded to the vice-champions of the last Euroleague season in Salamanca “Perfumerias Avenida”.
In the ranks of “TTT Rīga”, the most productive with 14 points was Jesmine Tomasa, who also gave five productive passes, intercepted six balls, but also made six mistakes. Vanessa Jasa added nine points, but Daugile Šarauskaite scored eight points, collected nine rebounds and blocked three opponent shots.
Maria Emanuela Fasula, the most productive player of the Avenida team, scored 16 points.
In the first quarter, the housewives made several mistakes in violation of the 24-second attack time, and four minutes before the end of the quarter, TTT reached the norm of remarks, allowing opponents to throw free throws for each remark. The main tournament of the Euroleague will end on February 1, 2022. The top four teams in each group will qualify for the playoffs, but the fifth and sixth place owners will continue the season in the European Cup.

The modest result is largely due to the lack of playing practice, as the team was unable to play the matches from the beginning of November due to an emergency situation. In order to get a practice, “TTT Rīga” decided in the middle of December to play in the European Women’s Basketball League, where they managed to win bronze.
“TTT Rīga” also won the Latvian Women’s Basketball League for the eighth time in a row and for the 20th time in the history of the club.
