Kunter stated that basketball is not managed well and resources are used poorly, “There is great waste. When we listen to people who work hard for basketball and work like ants in Anatolia, we see how great the demand for change is.” used the phrases.
Noting that his principles are transparency, merit, efficiency and participation, Kunter continued his words as follows:
“We will make sure that everyone sees all the expenditures. Everyone will know where the federation’s resources are going. Merit is the element that we have been missing a lot lately. We see that our basketball family has fallen into the disease of personal animosities and polarization. In terms of budget, Turkey is in the top 3 or 4 in Europe. On the other hand, efficiency is low. Especially in the last period. Teams with more modest budgets become European champions, go to the Olympics, are higher than us. We spend so much resources, we can’t get efficiency, we need to avoid extravagance. We need to listen to all stakeholders of basketball, this is our first priority. We promise a participatory management from the bottom, not from the top down.”

Pointing out that club revenues should also be increased, Kunter said, “The promise we can give to our clubs and that we will stand behind them until the end will be to remove the participation fee. Explaining that there are 4 sponsors they have met and agreed with, Kunter said that if they make sponsorship agreements on their needs, they will transfer these revenues to the clubs.
Kunter said that they plan to manage the leagues with club managers and that they will create a system where the clubs will choose the league coordinator they will propose as a federation.
Explaining that they want to establish a basketball high school, Kunter said, “We have a sweet jealousy towards volleyball. There is a project they do. We think about this comprehensively. We also have to train referees, we do not have enough referees. The second pillar of this is the university project. We also plan for the referees to declare their assets on a regular basis. ” he said.

Reminding that one of the presidential candidates, Hidayet Türkoğlu, wished for a democratic election on his social media account, Kunter said, “We also get some sensations, we see some things.
