The pandemic has notoriously affected Colombian soccer clubs and any sponsor that arrives is taken as a blessing. Three days away from the Valle del Valle classic 294, corresponding to date 14 of the BetPlay II-2021 League, Deportivo Cali received confirmation from the company Harinera del Valle with its brand Pastas La Muñeca as a new sponsor
‘La Muñeca’, who was previously with the Colombian Skating Team and the Junior of Barranquilla, will appear on the front of the shirt. The agreement is initially made for one year and two months, until December 2022.
The event was attended by the president of the institution, Marco Caicedo; coach Rafael Dudamel, Teófilo Gutiérrez, Jorge Arias, players Carolina Arias Vidal and Linda Caicedo, as well as Juan Carlos Henao, manager of the food company.
Juan Carlos Henao, manager of the company, said that “for us it was very important to have these three fronts: The men’s team, the women’s champion who goes to the Copa Libertadores and we also see a lot of interest in being in the quarry.”
Teófilo Gutiérrez also spoke of Harinera del Valle’s relationship: “It is a very important brand in Colombia and it is a privilege to have it on the shirt, I think we are going to keep it for a long time.”
Getting into Saturday’s game, Dudamel acknowledges that “we have to strengthen our defensive line, we have an offensive line of hierarchical players, with a lot of scoring ability, with a lot of talent, who lead us to be a great team, we have to improve more details in the defensive zone. One goal has to be enough, we cannot be depending on two or three goals per game. We have to keep working to find that balance in defense and attack ”.
At the moment, Cali occupies the 14th box with 17 points, 2 from the eighth, Envigado, and 1 from the scarlet box, which forces it to get a victory in the Pascual Guerrero.
