thrashed, opaque and far from his goal

The People’s Team fell 3-0 in their visit to the Daniel Villa Zapata stadium and their illusion of advancing to the next phase is distant.

Medellín’s qualifying options are increasingly distant. This Tuesday they fell 3-0 against Alianza Petrolera at the Daniel Villa Zapata stadium, in development of date 16 of the Betplay League 2-2021, in a day to be forgotten.

El Poderoso remained stagnant at 20 points and lost positions in the standings, in which the oil group rose to sixth place, with 25 units.

The climatic conditions of Barrancabermeja made a dent in the Antioquia team, which showed very little in attack in the initial stage.

In fact, in the first minutes the emotions were scarce. A deflected shot from Loaiza, for the visitor, and a header from Edwin Torres, for the local, among the little left in the first half hour.

At minute 31, Agustín Vuletich had the clearest option for DIM, in a free kick that crashed horizontally.

The response from the oil team was overwhelming. John Freddy Pérez took advantage of the passivity of the Red midfielders and took a shot that Andrés Mosquera Marmolejo could not control.

Vuletich, the only one who did anything for DIM on offense, tried again at the close of the opening stage, but keeper Pier Grazzian responded in a timely manner.

At the start of the second half (minute 49), Alianza extended the advantage through Pérez, who repeated in Marmolejo’s goal. An error by the DIM at the start, particularly by Juan Carlos Díaz, who lost the ball, led to a swift counterattack from the premises and made it 2-0.

Medellín tried to react and had sparks in search of the discount, but they did not go beyond that.

When it seemed that the marker did not move more, the oil group attacked again and, again, obtained revenues. After a center from the left, Sebastián Acosta Pineda defined with certainty within the area and put the final 3-0, which leaves DIM far from its goal of advancing to the next phase and in the midst of a distress among its fans
