The previous one was in 1996 with 50 chosen and this time there are 75. A selection that is dizzying just by looking at it for the amount of talent, history, rings, MVPs and all-star accumulated.
Who has not entered finally is Pau Gasol, which in some previous lists made by American journalists did include it. Although the truth is that they were not the majority. The only selected Europeans have been Dirk Nowitzki and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Spaniard, winner of two rings with the Lakers, who seems to want to withdraw his shirt soon, will have to wait for a new NBA update to see his name among the greatest legends in the history of the best league in the world.
And the truth is that it would not have been crazy for Pau to have joined the new list compared to 25 years ago if we take into account the number of new players who have entered. Some are still active and very evident, such as LeBron, Curry or Kwahi, others not as much as Lillard, and some classics that did not enter in 96, such as McAdoo, Wilkins or Payton.
