The Latvian 3×3 basketball team “Rīga” with Kekava Nauri Mieze and Agni Čavars, as well as Kārlis Pauls Lasmanis and Edgars Krūmiņš won the first “Masters” title this season on Saturday in the World Tour Abu Dhabi stage, and Lasmanis was recognized as the most successful player of the tournament.

The result was revealed by the Serbian team and was able to achieve a two-point lead (3: 1). The teams played similarly, not allowing each other to take the lead. For the first time, the Latvian team took the lead after a precise long-range shot from Barley, which allowed to reach 10: 9. Chavars also fired a long shot, reaching 18:16, but the opposing team quickly reduced the difference to one point.

The decisive points were scored by Čavars, who made a throw under the basket and added one exact penalty throw (20:18), but the victory point, as in the semi-final match, was scored by Miezis, finishing the match with the result 21:18.

Krūmiņš was the best in the Latvian team with six points, while the other players of the team – Lasmanis, Čavars and Miezis – scored five points each.

In the Serbian team, Dejan Majstorovich and Strahinja Stojačič each scored six points.

On Friday in the group “Riga” with 21:16 beat the Mongolian team “Ulaanbaatar” and with 20:19 – “Jeddah” from Saudi Arabia, which allowed to take the first place in the subgroup.

On Saturday, “Riga” won the Dutch team “Amsterdam” in the quarterfinals with 16:12, but in the semifinals with 21:12 it beat the Belgian team “Antwerp”.

Last week, in the “Quest” level tournament in Perm, Edgars Krūmiņš returned to the team after the injury was healed. He played together with Agnis Čavars, Kārlis Lasmanis and the fifth member of the team Artūrs Strēlnieks.

The Latvian team has entered the top eight in all five previous World Tour tournaments of this season, achieving the best result in Debrecen, where they won the second place.
