Arsenal have moved up to the top 5 in the Premier League with a second win in a row (for now). Leicester City tried to turn the fast backlog after the break, but Tielemans and co. couldn’t get past a rock solid Aaron Ramsdale.

After the 5-0 tie against Manchester City at the end of August, manager Mikel Arteta’s fate seemed sealed. The Spaniard had one more chance, but grabbed it with both hands. With 17 out of 21 and two months without a defeat, Arsenal has suddenly risen to the top of the Premier League.

Arteta was also able to smile quickly against Leicester City. After barely 6 minutes, Gabriel headed in the second corner of the match. More than 10 minutes later, Emile Smith Rowe took advantage of Leicester’s poor defense. Albert Sambi Lokonga also saw that it was good.

Leicester, with Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne in the base, did not just let themselves be led to the slaughter. But a rock-solid Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale refused to let a ball through.

Before the break he made a miraculous save on a free kick from Maddison and after the break he also stood firm. Leicester did not find a connecting goal and swallowed its fourth loss of the season. It remains in the middle of the Premier League.

Gabriel opened the score on a corner kick:

Smith Rowe doubled the score:
