Republic Cup Basketball Tournament was held in Kartal

Kartal Municipality organized the “3×3 Republic Cup Basketball Tournament” as part of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations.

Kartal Municipality organized the “3×3 Republic Cup Basketball Tournament” as part of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations. A total of 21 teams participated in the tournament, which was held as part of the 98th anniversary celebrations of the Republic, in 2 categories as adults and youth. After the fierce competitions, the winning teams were awarded with a gift certificate as well as a trophy and medal. Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel came together with the athletes participating in the tournament, wishing them success and shooting basketball.

The basketball tournament organized by Kartal Municipality Sports Affairs Directorate at Kartal Freedom Park was held with enthusiastic cheers by the audience as well as the participants. The 3×3 Basketball Tournament, in which the teams played with 3 players and a single hoop, was organized in 2 categories as youth and adults. A total of 21 teams from each category participated in the tournament. Meeting with the athletes competing in the tournament, President Gökhan Yüksel also shot basketball with the youth on the field. Stating that they always support sports and athletes in Kartal, he said that sports activities will continue. President Yuksel, who kicked off the match, wished success to all the athletes.

Trophies and medals were presented to the winners of the tournament

The tournament, which started at 10:00 in the morning, ended at 16:00, and the “Lungers” in the youth category and the “Balkan 3×3” teams in the adults category defeated their opponents and became the first. The champion teams, which were awarded with medals and cups as well as gift certificates by Kartal Municipality Sports Affairs Manager Arda Savaş, shared their joy with their friends. Trophies and medals were presented to the teams that placed 2nd and 3rd in the tournament. During the tournament, the needs of the athletes such as water, towels, food and uniforms were also provided by Kartal Municipality.
