As is known, the 2021 PON XX Papua event continues by holding exciting and fierce matches fighting for medals. Representatives of DKI Jakarta also successfully won a number of medals today, one of which came from open water swimming.
There is a gold medal that can be won by representatives of Indonesia from this sport. The medal was obtained through Ernest Fabian Wijaya’s action after beating two representatives of West Java, Nanda Wahyu and Rashief Amila Yaqien.

In the men’s division number 5 kilometers, the swimmer from DKI Jakarta, Ernest Fabian, won the match with a time of 1 hour 3 minutes 48 seconds who was entitled to the gold medal. Then, the second position was occupied by Nanda Wahyu Jendra Buwon from East Java Province.

Nanda Wahyu Jendra Buwon carved a time record of 1 hour 3 minutes 54 seconds. Meanwhile, the third position was occupied by Rashief Amila Yaqien from West Java Province with a record of 1 hour 3 minutes 55 seconds.
That way, there have been 37 gold medals that have been won by DKI Jakarta. In addition, there are also 24 silver medals and 29 bronze medals won by DKI Jakarta so far at the 2021 PON XX Papua.
In second place, there is Papua which also continues to increase its medal achievement. Now, the host contingent has won 32 gold medals. In addition, there were 15 silver and 31 bronze medals.
