Olympic archer Alejandra Valencia winner of the 2021 State Sports Award in Sonora – El Sol de Hermosillo

The best of Sonoran sport was awarded in the election of the 2021 State Prize, where the goalkeeper Alejandra Valencia won the Athlete category, after her great year that she crowned with the bronze medal at the last Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Olympic medalist was chosen through a vote by a committee previously chosen by lottery, both in front of a notary public who gave the event legality.

After the vote carried out at the facilities of the Sports Commission of the State of Sonora (Codeson), the winner chosen was Alejandra Valencia Trujillo, from Archery, from a list of 10 applicants, who raised the name of Mexico to the hang a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the Mixed Team mode.

In second place, was the four-time Paralympic, Leticia Ochoa, while the third place went to the weightlifter Noemí Rodríguez.

For the first place in this category, you will be awarded a prize of 75 thousand pesos (55 in cash and 20 divided in 10 months) and a medal, while the second will obtain $ 15 thousand (distributed in 10 months) and the third $ 10 thousand ( spread over 10 months), both will receive commemorative plaques.

For his part, among five applicants, Raidel Lázaro Mantilla, coach of the athletics discipline specialist in throwing, was awarded the prize in the Coach category, followed by Karla Amaya (athletics) and Víctor Rodríguez (weightlifting).

It should be noted that Raidel Mantillas is the coach of the Paralympic medalist, Rebeca Valenzuela, who took the bronze in Tokyo 2020.

The first place will receive a prize of 55 thousand pesos and a medal, the second $ 15 thousand and the third $ 10 thousand.

Finally, in the Prospect category, the young Cajemense Rubén Muñoz Álvarez from athletics was chosen as the winner, receiving a prize of $ 10,000 (spread over ten months).
