NFL – Football: Robert Tonyan’s season ended with knee injury

The worst has been confirmed for tight end Robert Tonyan. Tonyan’s season is over with a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament.

The Packers tight end suffered the injury after catching a pass in Thursday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. The number 85 wanted to avoid a defensive player by making a quick change of direction, but lost his footing and immediately grabbed the knee once on the ground.

A breakthrough among the Packers in 2020, Tonyan had 11 touchdowns and 586 yards through the air. Tonyan was not having such a good campaign this season, being limited to two touchdowns and some 204 aerial yards.

The Eagles are losing feathers

The Philadelphia Eagles will have to make do without the services of starting running back Miles Sanders for at least three weeks after the team placed their name on the injured list for at least three games.

Little used this season, Sanders was injured in his team’s last game against the Las Vegas Raiders. In seven games, he was limited to 63 carries for 300 yards. He hasn’t scored a touchdown this season.

Sanders will be able to return to the game on Nov. 21 against the New Orleans Saints.

Bucs will still have to do without AB

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will once again have to do without one of their best weapons. Antonio Brown will miss a second consecutive duel, a third this season. The former glory of the Steelers is bored with an ankle injury.

Tampa Bay will however be able to count on the services of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans who had a strong game last week in addition to possibly welcoming the return of Rob Gronkowski to the position of tight end.

Mayfield will be there, Chubb should be there too

Good news for the Cleveland Browns, after missing a first game since starting, Baker Mayfield will return to his post to guide the Browns’ attack against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Annoyed by a shoulder injury that he doesn’t pitch with, Mayfield was forced to miss Thursday night’s meeting against the Denver Broncos. The Browns were also deprived of the services of running backs Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb so that D’Ernest Johnson made his first start in the NFL. The second-year forward had had a strong encounter with 157 total yards and two touchdowns.

In the case of Chubb, it is expected that the former University of Georgia will be able to return to play in the backfielder of Cleveland.

Julio Jones will miss another game

After being absent for two games earlier this season, veteran receiver Julio Jones will miss another meeting of his family on Sunday against the Colts. Jones hasn’t worked out for the week as he’s bothered by a hamstring injury.
