BOSTON – Guard Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

He has no symptoms and has gone into isolation, the club said.

Brown will miss an exhibition game against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.

Third overall in the 2016 draft, Brown averaged 24.7 points and six rebounds per game last season.

Asked about vaccines on media day last month, Brown said:

“I have my own opinion on this. I respect the decisions of my teammates. Everyone has their own opinion on this. I think it’s a personal choice. “

The Celtics will open the regular season on October 20 in New York against the Knicks.
