Basketball professional Dennis Schröder can do it not only with his hands. The NBA star impressively demonstrated his football skills in an Instagram video.

Charlotte. In basketball, players are only allowed to wield the orange ball with their hands. That doesn’t seem to stop Celtics playmaker Dennis Schröder (28) from shooting his foot into the basket every now and then.

The German national basketball player published a short video on Instagram on Wednesday (October 27) in which he and Boston colleague Josh Richardson (28) demonstrated his football skills.

NBA star Schröder juggles like a professional soccer player

Before the NBA game in Charlotte (October 25th local time), the two Celtics players seem to have warmed up differently for once. Both keep the basketball in the air with their legs as long as possible and juggle back and forth. After Richardson lets the ball hit the ground, the basketball professionals play themselves in a frenzy: the NBA players manage 24 ball contacts. Then Schröder apparently wants to crown the action and tries to volley the ball into the basket. Unfortunately, you can’t see on the video whether the German used the net. If you follow the reaction of the two basketball players, it seems to have worked. Richardson grabbed the point guard by his legs and lifted him into the air.

In the game that followed, Schröder reinforced the impression of the warm-up. The playmaker managed almost everything. With 23 points, eight assists and six rebound, the Guard played a key role in the Celtics’ 140: 129 win over the Hornets in extra time. In the next game, the German shone with 22 points against the Washington Wizard (October 27 local time) from the bench. This time the Celtics had to admit defeat 116: 107.

While things have been going very well for the German individually in Boston so far, the Celtics as a team still have a lot of problems. The 17-time champion, who shares the record championship with the Los Angeles Lakers, lost three of the five games played. Coach Brad Stevens (45) has to come up with something if he wants to move into the playoffs with his team in this already tight NBA season. In the night from Saturday to Sunday (October 31st) Schröder and Co. have to face the Wizards again.
