John van den Brom announces changes: “At a certain point you have to move on”

On Sunday, Genk faces the treacherous move to Zulte Waregem. After three league defeats in a row, Genk has dropped to tenth place in the ranking. There is only one thing that counts on Sunday: winning.

Earlier this week, Genk tasted the victory again. A visit to Winkel Sport made it 0-6. Although it was ‘only’ against a club from Eerste Nationale, John van den Brom gained the necessary confidence. The Dutchman was especially pleased with the fact that a few boys seized their chance.

“That match came at a good time for us, because it didn’t work. In our situation it feels good to win another match,” said Van den Brom. HLN.

Van den Brom is the trainer to keep his players hand above the head. Nevertheless, the Dutchman announced in his press talk that the credit with some basic pawns has gradually been used up. “I’m someone who gives a lot of confidence to his players, I don’t change that much. But at a certain point you just have to move on, and then it makes sense that you also look further. A few guys took their chances on Wednesday. So I think there will be some shifts here and there to Sunday.”
