The Granada prevented the victory of Osasuna in minute 90 (1-1) thanks to a goal from Montoro, which equaled the initial goal of Chimy Avila, and prevented the Navarrese team from reaching Real Sociedad at the top of the table.

El Sadar dressed up to receive his team with the interpretation of the centennial anthem ‘The voice of a hobby’ by Serafín Zubiri, who was accompanied on the pitch by old red legends such as Martín Monreal, Patxi Puñal or Javier Castañeda.

Osasuna was looking for co-leadership after three consecutive victories that raised the morale of a staff called to fight for permanence. 21,128 were the spectators that gathered in El Sadar, the best entry so far this season.

The battle to win the center of the field prevented seeing a first half with too many occasions in which Granada tried to find the speed and mobility of the trio formed by Carlos Bacca, Luis Suárez and Darwin Machís.

In the 24th minute, Granada was about to take advantage of a mistake by Sergio Herrera. The goalkeeper ran towards his goal after a header clearance going into the cut and Rochina armed the ‘cannon’ to hit the ball from far away, but the red keeper reacted in time to stop the ball.

It seemed that the Navarrese fans would dine during the break with a 0-0, something that Chimy Ávila was in charge of preventing. The ‘Commander’ picked up the ball after a bitten shot by Cote to put the first goal on the scoreboard with a shot with the left leg that unleashed madness in Pamplona. 1-0 and Osasuna was momentarily co-leading.

15 minutes after the resumption of the clash, Roberto Torres had a clear chance that Abram ruined his head by getting up from the ground when nothing and no one stood between the ball and the net.

Jagoba Arrasate took Jon Moncayola onto the pitch to reinforce Osasuna’s midfield.

It seemed that the situation was controlled by the locals, but an isolated play put all Osasunism on edge. Cote cut a clear one against Luis Suárez in front of Herrera, so the referee showed the direct red to the Asturian defender. It was time to suffer.

Despite the fact that Osasuna did not give up a timid pressure, Montoro was ready seeing Herrera ahead of him to sneak the ball into the goal from afar and tie the game in the 90th minute. The second was the charm. Jug of cold water that fogged up a match matched with an exceptional atmosphere.
