Judo and weightlifting achieved medals in the competition.
BABAHOYO. In the National Junior Championship, athletes riosenses they obtained medals, after reaching the first places in the disciplines of judo and weightlifting.
In judo, two silver medals were achieved with Anthony Bailón, while Gabriel Muñoz, Denisse Mora, Sury Vacacela, Justin Torres Kinto and Mayra Moreno.
The weightlifting discipline participates in the national championship held in Guayaquil. Between the first days of competition, Samnata Arreaga achieved nine medals in the 45 kilogram category.
While Jesús Garrido won three gold medals in the 66 kilograms category. While Jefferson Ramírez achieved six gold medals in the 61 kilogram category.
Next challenge
From October 25 to November 13, the IX National Youth Sports Games Ibarra 2021, for athletes between 12 and 21 years old.
The games are reissued after almost two years of official sports inactivity due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
More than 2,500 athletes from all over the country will participate in the competition. (DLH)
