Lions: Achilles tendon rupture for Romeo Okwara

End of season for the young lineman from Detroit.

The Lions lose one of their best pass rushers for the entire season.

Dan Campbell had announced after the meeting against the Bears that he envisaged the worst. The diagnosis of a ruptured Achilles tendon by Romeo Okwara has been confirmed by NFL Media.

The defensive lineman will therefore be unavailable the rest of the year.

Drafted in 2016 by the Giants, Okwara was in his fourth year of contract with Detroit. He broke through last year by recording 10 sacks, and started for the first four meetings this year.
