Pedro Martnez, the only Spanish representative at the Open 250 in Moscow, has crept in this Thursday for the quarterfinals of the contest.

Alcira’s tennis player, 24 years old and in position 61, has added a prestigious victory after defeating Filip Krajinovic 6-3, 6-4. It should be remembered that the Serbian is an indoor hard surface specialist, as evidenced by his recent semifinal on Sofa or the final of the Masters 1,000 in Pars-Bercy, in 2017.

It is the second time this season that Martnez has made it into the top eight of a tournament. He had previously achieved it in Kitzbhel where he reached the final with the Norwegian Casper Ruud.

The triumph guarantees him to leave next Monday with the best classification of his professional career. The Croatian awaits you tomorrow in the antepenultimate round Marin Cilic, Tommy Paul’s executioner. The other second crossing that already has protagonists is the one to face Karen Khachanov y John Millman.
