Jorma Petteri Korhonen (born March 23, 1968 in Kajaani, Finland) is a Finnish judo and European champion.In his active career, he represented the Kajaani Judo Club.In 1989, Kerhonen won the European Championship in the 71 kg series. This was the first European man to win the European Championship gold medal.A year later, he won the silver medal in the European Championships and the bronze medal in the European Championships in 1993.He also finished fifth in the 1992, 1994 and 1996 European Championships. He won the fifth place in the World Championships in 1997 and the seventh place in 1989. In 1988, he won the bronze medal at the European Youth Championship. Kerhonen also won four Finnish titles in the 71 kg series in 1987, 1989, 1990 and 1997. Kerhonen ended his racing career in 2000. His brother Marco Korhonen is also an Olympic judo athlete. In 2016, Korhonen was inducted into the Finnish Judo Hall of Fame at the Finnish sports event.
