When I heard that Derrick broke his cruciate ligaments, I still remember everything… the smells, the people I was with at the time. I had the exact same feeling as when I saw the plane crash into one of the Twin Towers in 2001. People will say I’m crazy to make this comparison, but no, that is how I feel.
Joakim Noah speaks of a feeling, of something which is his own, and he is probably referring to the shock he experienced at this unexpected news … But compare a knee injury, as serious as it is, to one of the most violent terrorist attacks in US history, it’s pretty awkward. Despite the awkward comparison, Joakim Noah will arguably be cheered by Bulls fans at the meet facing .. the Knicks! A beautiful coincidence.
